This section contains the most up to date information available for the Crates in Sole Survivor. If you believe any of this information is incorrect or you believe the information is lacking. Please make sure to send all your comments to Assassin

Crates:
Crates are the most important thing in Sole Survivor they are needed to survive the game. They are there to make surviving a but easier and in some ways a bit harder. For crates themselves you need a strategy which colour your going to grab first how many and then next colour etc. Its best to develop a strategy like that but develop it yourself you might want different things then what I want in a unit with this strategy it is unlicky you will be nuked or ion cannoned. Without a crate strategy and if you mindlessly grab any crate you see then you will most likely be killed by a crate sooner or later in the game. Here is a listing of all the crate types and there contents so you know what you have a chance of getting when you pick up a crate and how you can avoid it.

Brown Crates
Brown crates are the most common type of crate and they're available in all channels except the "Wacky" ones (only orange crates are avalable on "Wacky" channels). Brown crates may hold both good things and bad things like some crates.

Picture: Description:
Speed Upgrade
Upgrades your speed by 10%.
Range Upgrade
Upgrades your weapon and scouting range by 10%. (This is unavailable for range less units like the dinosaurs)
Armor Upgrade
Upgrades your armor by 10%.
Weapon Upgrade
Upgrades your firepower by 10%.
Rapid Reload
Upgrades your reload rate by 10%.
Health Restore
Restores your health back to full.
Global Uncloak
As soon as you get this crate all units on all sides lose their stealth ability instantly. This crate has no effect on invulnerable units (good if your a stealthed unit).
Stealth
Upon picking up this crate there are 2 things which can happen: 1. If you have stealth you'll will lose it (annoying if your a stealth tank) 2. if you don't you'll become stealthed. If this crate is picked up while you're still invulnerable from an orange crate it will have no effect. These crates are disabled in LimLives channel.
Map Reveal
Only available when map reshroud is. This crate reveals the entire map to you and your team but not the other teams.
Map Reshroud
Reshrouds all of the map. The effect of this crate only affects the other teams and not you so it is a good thing and very annoying for the other teams. There's a channel option to disable it which you can disable most things.
Radar on
Activates the radar mini-map which is very useful (no doubt).
Ion Cannon

(no icon just ion cannons you)
Upon picking up this crate you will be shot by the orbital Ion Cannon. It's only available when Ion is turned on in the channel and the chance to get it depends on your Ion danger meter which goes up with the more upgrades you have. The Ion Cannon may be a weak shotor may be fatal shot. If your unit has enough armor it can survive Ion Cannon blasts but may get ingured very badly. Infantry never gets these crates (lucky for them otherwise they would be toasted).
Teleport

(no icon just teleports you)
As soon as you pickup this crate your unit will be randomly teleported to another spot on the map. This is sometimes called by players a Chrono crate because it functions much like Red Alerts Chronosphere.

Silver Crates
Silver crates are less common then the normal brown crates. And they do not appear on "Wacky" channels (obviosly). These crates only contain mega upgrades which are very useful and can make your unit quite powerful.

Picture: Description:
Mega Speed
Upgrades your speed in 50% (nice with a Recon Bike).
Mega Range
Upgrades your weapon and scouting range by 50% (useful for any unit) .
Mega Armor
Upgrades your armor by 50% (nice for a Raptor).
Mega Weapon
Upgrades your firepower by 50% (great for Mammoth Tanks).
Mega Reload
Upgrades your reload time by 50% (good for Commandos).

Green Crates
Green crates are quite common and green crates may be more rare in some channels then others. Especially the LimLives channel where they're very rare.

Picture: Description:
Health Restore
Heals your unit and restores it to 100% health. You'll get a health upgrade only if your health is bollow 100% otherwise you will get nuked.
Nuclear Bomb

(no icon just nukes you)
If you pick a green crate while you still have 100% health then the green crate will blow up with a nuclear explosion. If you plan things correctly you could kill off a whole lot of enemy units as well as yourself.

Orange Crates
Orange crates are usally very rare except in "Wacky" channels where they're the only type of crate you can find. They have only one effect and they are quite useful and powerful. They are also disabled in some of the channels.

Picture: Description:
Timer
When you pick a orange crate all your upgrades will be put to full and your health will be upgraded to 100%. But the effect only lasts for 30 seconds, and once it wears off you'll lose all of your upgrades. You may take another one before the first wears off in order to stay fully upgraded.

Red Crates
Red crates always have the same effect they are extremely rare and are not available in some channels.

Picture: Description:
Armageddon
Destroys all the units on the screen including hunters, always ask your team before taking it unless you want to be hated. Its probably the best idea to take these only when you are losing. If you're on the winning team or your team doesn't want you to take it then guard it with your life.
