Picture Description
Without it, you can't build anything. It is the most important building in the game keep this well protected. When you get to the highest part of the tech tree you will be able to build MCVs which will allow you to have more contruction yards.The buildpic for this structure was created by Westwood and is offical but was never used in the final game. Because you cannot build a Con Yard straight off you have to build a MCV.
This is your primary power source and it is the first building you have to build to build any other structures.
Is a Cheaper and better power source it gives twice as much power as the normal powerplant but also takes up twice the room.
The Ore Refinery very important this will be the source of your credits just make sure to protect your ore truck and the refinery and the credits will start rolling in.
Stores additional credits. You may need to build lots of these especially if you have more than 2000. Don't forget the Ore Refineries store lots of ore so the more refineries you have the less you need these except when they are full. If you don't build a silo when one is needed you will stop reciveing credits. If you run out of room for silos start spending credits to free room up in the silos.
You need this to train your soldiers. This also allows the Flame Tower and Kennel to be built.
Enables you to build your tanks. Check Soviet Units section for additional info.
Enables you to build your submarines very useful for extending the battle to the sea and to defend your base from destroyer attacks etc.
You receive a Hind helicopter with every Helipad for free. You can build as much as helicopters as you want having only one Helipad, but you will have to manually reload their ammo on the only helipad and that takes too long.
It repairs vehicles, tanks and helicopters. But you will have to pay 50% of the price of the unit to repair it!
The radar will enable you to see every area that your units explore on the radar screen in the top-right corner. Without it its hard to see things coming quickly.
This is the Soviet Tech Center which will allow you to build many advanced units and structures including the iron curtian, missle silo and the mammoth tank.
These kennels train attack dogs to be used to take care of any allie spys that may come wandering into your base. Its also a good idea to have plenty of these as defense because they take out infantry quickly.
These runways allow you to build Yak attack planes, Migs and other airbourne advantages such as paratroopers which is a great way to get free infantry.
Now these babys will toast those allied troops great for taking out all kinds of infantry these are a must for base defence.
These towers that spray long bolts of high packed electricity can take care of all your problems except for aircraft of course. But these can take out any tanks in a few zaps if you have like 5 of these at each entry of the base there is no way to get in unless they take out your power with a nuke.
Bored with your opponents pitiful air raids? Worry no more because the sam site will take care of all yout aircraft problems just build alot of these and you'll be fine.
When ready the iron curtain can give off a charge that will make your target unit or structure invincible for a matter of time. Very useful to use on Mammoth tanks and on con yards when your losing the battle.
Camouflage it behind an advanced power plant when you build this so no one can see it. It makes an A-Bomb, every 13 minutes at normal game speed and it does a hell of alot of damage especially to infantry.
