Nod War Factory

You know, I just realized something;
IIRC back in Tiberian Dawn ALL Nod units got brought to the war factory by plane, even the units for which you needed to build a tech center, and units that are specifically Nod, like the Stealth Tank. But if the units are just flown in, why would you need to build a tech center in your base?
Maybe the flame tank and the stealth tank should actually be built at the war factory; the round landing pad opening up, and the unit pushed out on a lift?

Here's the thing: It's not a war factory and was never called that, even in the original. It was always known as the Airstrip, and it has has no unit production capability. Nod buys all their high-tech units, one would assume from arms dealers on the black market.
If you want it to make sense from a fictional perspective, let's assume the communications centre / Temple of Nod are what enable the Brotherhood to communicate with the people that supply their arms, thus you need to build them first before you can gain access to the vehicles.

The problem is, that it is made specifically clear in the campaigns, that both the Flame Tank and Ezekiel's Wheel aka the Stealth Tank are entirely Nod innovations, designed and constructed by Nod. This does not fit with them being bought from arms dealers; especially since it would mean that someone else developed the Stealth Tank, someone who would happily sell to GDI after Nod is defeated, they need to make money after all. Yet Stealth technology remains wholely Nod throughout the series, it was Nod designed, Nod built.

Fair enough, I see your point. OK, how about this: The Stealth tanks are produced at few key centralised facilities that are (obviously) very secretive to prevent them from falling into GDI hands. Thus, they cannot be constructed at the battle base, but must be flown in from the nearest production facility.

a tech center
In C&C1 you can't build tech centers. The "tech centers" are the Advanced Communications Center and The Temple of Nod.
