It's nice to see that there is still plenty of activity from the modding community despite EA's silence on that front in recent times. Here's what is happening around the community.
  • C&C3 mod MidEast Crisis 2 released a couple of screenshots of the Israeli Gideon helicopter, their menu, and infantry deaths. Check it out here.

  • Renegade total conversion A Path Beyond has released two blogs in 2009.

  • On a slightly related note, Apocalypse Rising has also published two new blogs as well.

  • Zero Hour mod Rise of the Reds has also had two updates in turn as well. These updates showcase new structures and units. They have also added a patch for RotR 1.0 (patch 1.2) to their downloads. Check out the updates at their site.

  • A new C&C3 mod known as the TALON mod from the Talon clan has been released.

The primary aim of this mod is to get away from the current gameplay which for the most part involves spamming tanks. We are introducing gameplay that requires, scouting and using a variety of units to be successful.
You can download the Talon mod right here

  • Over at Project Perfect mod a demo of Tiberian Sun Firestorm mod Tiberian Sun: World of Insanity was released. Watch a video of TS:WoI here.

  • At Revora Yuri's Revenge mod Project Phantom recently posted a new update with screenshots and a video. You can watch the video of Project Phantom in action over here.

  • C&C3 mod Tiberium Wars Advanced released new screenshots showcasing the new support airfields for GDI and Nod.

'Why all the recent updates from so many mods?' you may ask yourself. Well the answer is probably because the 2008 Mod Of The Year Awards have started up and now is the time to vote for your favorites in Phase 1.
