I think jets can also be used for Anti-Air support when they're called to battlefield.

Seriously though... the weapons factory has been adjusted to make it more realistic to fit a mammoth tank in there. The original was REALLY too small to make it build mammoths.
Tell me about it, I always felt like Mary Poppins pulling out a lamp stand from a hand bag when building a mammoth from the war factory in TFTW.
to be honest, we were never given the impression of how deep the GDI Warfactory was, back concepts were simply lacking.
My only complaint about that Warfactory concept is that the front doorway area seems to be a little Renegade influenced.

The Mammoth tank from the War Factory isnt anywhere near as ridcoulous as Tiberian Sun Rising.
Originally we tried the Mammoth Mk2 coming from the War Factory and it was indeed stupid *with proper scaling* in TS it looked ok because scaling wasnt anywhere near close to what it should be.
It definatly felt like a magician pulling off an Illusion like the Disappearing Tank trick lol, hence why we moved the construction of the Mammoth Mk2 to the Service Depot it works alot like C&C3's Nod Dropzone though keep in mind we thought up this idea well before C&C3.

well, the door thing could be fixed by leaving the dents asymmetrical like in TD.
Or do you mean the way it doesn't seem to go through the roof like in TD? I never really noticed that until now... it's supposed to work like this:
