A little off the C&C topic for a minute. Blizzard has officially announced that Starcraft 2 is in development at their Worldwide Invitational being held in South Korea.

IGN is running a Live Blog that is being updated every few minutes. (Scroll down to timestamp 3:00 for the start of the announcement; page goes in reverse order from bottom to top)

There are a lot of new units and abilities, and also a lot of our old favorites. At this point in development it is safe to say that nothing is final.

It also appears that SC2 is in this month's issue of PC Gamer.

You can find all your game footage needs Here. Footage includes the cinematic trailer, the 20 minute narrated demo that was shown at the event in Korea, and some segments of the same demo without the narration.

doesn't look like they have pushed them selves very hard the gfx look very similar to the first game suppose their going for the retro feel

reminds me of rise of legends or I suppose Dune 2 building a Dynasty as starcraft 1 and Dune 2000 as Starcraft 2 if you catch my drift

Yeah, its known as being lazy...

Stu will probably have a field day insulting this one, he wouldnt stop going on about how crap WoW was due to the fact they were overly lazy with the graphics.

I don't like their comical looking styles... I like something along the lines of C&C3 more.

They probably just don't want to alienate the die-hard fans of the game by changing the looks of the iconic units. And remember, there's a long way to go before the game launches. Anything can happen.

And the graphics changing wont be one of those things that can happen.

by the amount of screenshots they have released and the amount of units shown are they are far more along than they say they are

and far to far to change the art style

That's what I meant. The art style won't change, but the effects and such will probably be better in the final build. It'll seem more real.
