Okay. I was suggjesting (@#$ I can't spell) that he use Movie maker for starting out, because if he is starting, he won't shell the howevermuchitis for Premiere. and as it happens, I have premiere.

great new ideas.
okay. the thing about doing machinima over the internet is the decreased quality, and the time lag.
so my idea is... individual "cells" that are in charge of a certain aspect of production. so, say one for video capture, one for audio/voice acting, another for editing, etc etc. each of the core members could be in charge of a "cell", like moderators for a forum.
Along the same line (sorta), the name could reflect the nature of the "cells", such as.. oh, I don't know. suggestions?
