no I mean to actually make the hand of Nod like the render below so actually making it out of boxes and then changing them into that shape or maybe use maya and then import it into the editor.

so there would be a GDI APC were that man is and then GDI would have to push into the hand though a door in the hand and then it would be barracks cotrol rooms etc

One thing about this community is trying new things is a great way to learn new skills. Me im always trying new things, in the community and out of it developing my skills further and further into different areas.

Like right now im developing my 3d and coding skills alot further. Some of the skills I have I prolly would not of considered learning if I hadn't been in the community and everything iv learnt here I can't see doing things without them now :D.

So go for it sgtmay lets just see what u can do :).

I have added the actor x plugins and the utpackage tool to the download database.

All the ActorX plugins are up to date as far as the download info said.

I am still looking for a few utilities that I used to have kicking around here somewhere.

I am also looking into creating a C&C themed mutator.

I wish I had xp so I could use maya :(

I might play around with importing some Renegade models in Unreal, once I look into how its done. When I get some free time anyway.

For Renegade and Generals its quite straightfoward.. I hope its just as easy with Unreal but we'll see.. I got a feeling im gonna need to do new animation sets :P but anyway.

Soundpacks too need to look into the Unreal sound format hell id just love to have some C&C sounds packs in Unreal.

I finally got the ActorX plugin to work in max4

Now I can start moving some models into the unreal environment to see how they look.

The most important part is the code.....if you have experience with C++ then you shouldnt have any problembs.

I am going to work on getting the Nod buggy into .max and see what it looks like exported into unreal as an updated scorpion.

OK.....it took me a little while to get used to the older material editor environment in max4 but I think I finally got a handle on the situation.

Here's a pic of the first vehicle I am going to try to move into the unreal environment.

I am working on re-assigning the textures and getting the alpha maps to work......once I get that all fixed then it's time to bone it and export it with actorx.

Then it's off to the code.......I'll have to re-watch the videos again and make sure I got the process right before I do that part.

But for right now I am worrying about getting the model textures properly re-assigned and boned for export.

This vehicle will be an extension of the scorpion preset.
