I want to do nice looking cliffs. The cliffs on my map is 40 feet high.

I want to get rid of all the lite shadows, should i just smooth it or? I want them to be quite steep aswell.

Well there's a cliff texture tool but I have never figured out how it works.

Otherwise, SAGE isn't very good at steep cliffs. They fixed that in RA3 and C&C4 by just using meshes for cliffs.

You could try having fewer steep cliffs and then try to hide the stretched textures with rock meshes and such.

I also saw one really clever map that used the map lighting to hide steep cliffs in dark dark shadow so you couldn't see the stretching. This method means you can only have steep cliffs facing one direction though. The ones facing the sun would have to be smaller or smoother.

I'll think I go with this one since I have a lot of steep cliffs. The cliffs are very important to this particular map so I must have them.
