As weird as it may sound, there's a possibility for making weapons capable of projecting electricity over a body or whatever.
This is it : You have a pressure pomp that projects thin small metal pieces in a linear direction. From the muzzle, you generate electricity. The distance between the dense particles that form the "beam" being small, electricity'll pass from particle to particle. It's practicaly a cable with air being the isolator and the thin metal concentrated powder, the conductor. It would be good for a small-to-medium range weapon, but not good against armoured vehicles, electricity leaking in the ground through the vehicle without passing through the ocuppants. Allso, it would take a Lot of energy to kill a tank crew, so, a soldier simmilar to the Soviet TeslaTrooper in RA1 would be possible.

rebuild generators that were created in real life by Nicola Tesla, and you will be the god of electricity as far as I know, his devices allowed him to transfer energy without wires, but his technology was lost...

Oh and another thing ... Since it uses metal to project electricity, you can use any kind of metal you can find. Coins, empty cartridges, etc. You just have a simple object with which you can mince the metal to get the "powder" you need. You just need a strong hand to operate it. Allso, you can use, alldo quite fragile, solar pannels for your generator so that you won't run too soon out of ammo; or a gas tank. Anything flamable to power-up the generator. Your tank's stuck and you have to abandon it, you take the petrol from the tank and you're happy; allso, where're vehicles, there's shurely a refill station for your "electricity thrower". I think it's much more effective than the flame thrower. You can recharge it allmost everywhere and it can fry whatever it hits, except for armoured vehicles (here the flame thrower's better; you can really "cook" a tank with it).

ah, but you might as well use an ungrounded taser. could fry a tank if you hit a critical part( gas tank, battery(somehow)). its much easier than trying to "throw it" at least for now... there has to be a simpler way.

also, your gear would have to be computerized to time it correctly, because one miscalculation and either the bolt wouldn't go far, or wouldn't connect. doesn't it also have to be a complete circut. there has to be different charges otherwise I think.
