Guess what! The announcements section now actually has a purpose. From now on it'll be updated with information on the current status of the mod's development.

Assassin released the first staff beta a couple weeks ago (the screenshots from the re-announcement were done with it). Since then we've been actively hunting down bugs. Our primary focus right now is Nod, since GDI is pretty solid (minus bugs). Although a public release is still a ways off, it's remarkably complete right now.

Those wondering on Nod they are unique from GDI as much as possible. Where there are two of the same. Example both GDI and Nod have a Refinery and a Harvester however. GDI's Harvester has different features from Nods. And Nods Refinery works differently from GDIs as Nod has more advanced refinement techniques.

As such the Nod Refinery and Harvester look completly different from GDIs. Nods Refinery is more monolythic like the rest of there side for example.

We'll keep you posted as Nod updates come they are our main focus atm. Im actually a devoted Brotherhood follower ;) so don't worry they'll get the attention they deserve.

Nod's is that they have available to them the option to outfit your units with the finest quality pants that money can buy. Obviously this has the possiblity of imbalancing the whole game so we'll have to keep an eye on it to be sure Nod isn't godly.

Yes with Nods superior fashion sense GDI doesn't stand a chance.

Althou GDI's rainbow helmets may win the day.

And for a serious answer to your question. GDI gets the Dropship bay and no longer has a mobile war factory. However Nod has the Fist of Nod (Nods mobile war factory). This was yet another change made to make the two sides more unique while better styling them to GDI/Nods theme.

As GDI has superior air power naturally there gonna use the Dropship bay a fair bit. As Nod relies on building units via War factorys and can only get limited reinforcements via Subterrain units they developed the Fist of Nod to allow devious construction of Nod units remotly.

Now your prolly asking what good is a mobile warfactory if I can build a war factory anywhere with a construction drone.

Welll the Fist of Nod deploys quickly, can be moved easily and is actually cheaper then a war factory *althou weaker*.

While a War Factory once built cannot be moved and is more expensive.

A good question indeed... that'd be interesting.. I can't seen the Banshee fairing well in a dogfight and the Orcas have a big speed advantage over the Harpy, though I suppose GDI is supposed to have the superior airforce.

Banshee lasers upgrade? Or just plain old better-keep-rocket-soldiers-scattered-EVERYWHERE?
