I'd like epic units,
Like:

GDI:
Best unit - MK II
Epic Unit - MK II "The Arc"
- A hovering fortress, garrosinable and upgrades, basically a Tsun style, hovering MARV

NOD:
Best unit - Cyborg Commando
Best unit - Scorpion Cyborg
- Take the Core Defender design, but mix it with the Avatar/Redeemer design, tranforms into Oblisk that's fire style is like the Redeemer,

Here is a sidebar suggestion:

I'd like to be part of the team, but I don't know what I coulb be usefull for

Don't like it at all.

There's such a thing as overboard, especially the hovering Mark II!?!?!?

Besides, the Commando and Mark II are ALREADY epic units.

The Mark II though, will it get the anti-infantry gattling gun on the front it has in the FMVs?

The Mark II is an Epic unit, the CyCommando is just a "commando" unit.
If NOD had a heavy mech or heavy inf. and bu heavy for the inf. I meen like-in-much-larger-and-lotta-damage.

other than that I'd like the team to bring back the GDI commando, I missed that in Tsun, the Ghost Stalker didn't quite fit the commando section,
Coz, why would GDI hire a mutant when they can get a heavilytrained trooper?

Doesn´t seem very much like Nod to me. Even the commando cyborg in TS was a bit over the edge for this kind of faction IMO, having a super heavy unit for a faction that barely has medium units (in terms of size) seems unfitting to me.

Now we've gone and questioned TS itself?

Just plant the Core Defender in some map and let the warring factions fight to capture it for their advantage. That is unless you plan to have a Cabal faction in the future.

I am not a big Fan of Epic units because I think they kind of steal from the strategy game and here is something I will offer instead.

In war time strategy things are a bit different from those in games and there is defiantly a line that is crossed when doing things. Usually there is a scale up from higher caliber units down because special elite units are smaller and trained better and need a lot more support. They are usually used first in the upstart to a war like rangers leading the way or the Tank divisions into France and then the trained Eastern front Russians to lead a spear head counter offensive against the Germans. Then there is a gradual build up with more units and finally weaker units are introduced to reinforce lines and the what not.

Gaming is a bit odd in the sense that everyone starts out equally with lower tier units and finally build up to more capable units. We can approach this two fold and make the game a bit more interesting.

What I have found out to be an interesting approach to gaming is to specialize by commanders.
The extreme route makes individual trees and whole armies that have been suited to that particular play style. The not so extreme route is the ala-Company of Heroes route where you don’t have to sacrifice the underling structure of the Army you just get a couple of advantages to it.

To import this into the C&C universe we can do it where there are three separate commanders for the different “Races”

Example
-N.O.D.
-Commander Verexx: A hot tempered Prefect part of Kane’s inner circle who found himself in a position of power sooner then the latter. His campaign of offensive propaganda by flame has propelled him quickly with few enemies in his wake.
This commander is adapt in the preparations of the flame (This is a whole army altering selection.)
-All units have the tiberium flame upgrade (This include infantry and armor units)
-All propaganda towers have 12 times the range and increase morale of all units by 3 fold.
-(New Unit) GS-22 Divine Heat (Armored Unit)
-(New Unit) The Divine (Infantry Unit)
-(New Building) The conversion (Tiberium Silos that speed up production time as they are filled with Tiberium)

This example shows that we don’t need epic units because game play is in constant flux because you never know what kind of an opponent you are up against and this gets rid of the need to have a super unit to enhance game play

The next thing someone could add to get off the epic unit kick is to make Armies drastically different from each other and Generals did a perfect example of this with the GLA. They were an army that needs someone to think ahead and learn when to take advantage of any situation. What this does is offer armies different way of approaching each other to try and combat their different abilities. With so many builds to one army there will never be enough time nor the resources to build epic tier units.

In a game play variant you can encourage aggressive game play to minimize ability to keep an abundance of resources. You can do this by limiting defensive units and structures (Not necessary for the game but maybe one of the Armies) or make it absolutely vital to contain an enemy or expand ala-Starcraft.

A combination of the three could defiantly make a game interesting to the point of not needing or reducing drastically the need for Epic tier units.

What do you guys think?
