how do you convert a gmax building into a shp?

It's going to be a complicated process. First you need to have the model correctly aligned, then you take a screenshot of the model and remove the background.

If its a building it shouldn't be to hard cause RA2 only needs one screen shot. Do it in W3D veiwer and make the background blue and screen shot there. Make sure you convert the gmax file to W3D with RenX.Zoom out a bit far so your building isn't huge and postion it the way you want it.(probably the roof showing with the front and I bit of the side so it dosen't look 2D.)

well I got it to work and with an easy program by somone named flyby it gets the camera in perfect place and it lights it good :)

here is a building I made :D
