I must admit I like some of your ideas, your Tiberium infused dino looks pretty cool, it could certainly form a basis of a type of tiberium fiend. I already think we were planing some sort of evolution process for tiberium life forms.

The sand worm idea is not one I like, not sure if your getting this idea from the Dune series but they were a right pain to deal with.

Massive carnivouris plants could be cool, the only issue there could be what the limits of the engine are, though if possible I think it would be very cool if we had some massive man eating plants, but maybe that's just too cliched.

maybe there could be a plant that releases a deadly form of pollen that attacks and mutants infantry and kills the infantry inside of vehicles. obviously mutants and cyborgs and drones are imune to this type of attack and the mkII

Well. now thinking about the bigger picture. while making "Redzones" appear as they did in Firestorm is easy...
but rather just eye candy is there some sort of ecosystem implemented, something to make each zone/map more alive and dynamic ? I am not sure about C&C3, I haven't touched it..yet..

but I could imagine it going something like this. where lifeforms are separated into a simple food chain. each has a life cycle...and a certain point at which it multiplies, spreads spores/tiberium....
Its easy for some creatures which self-replicate or others which dig burrows, or nests and reproduce from there. maybe add herds which protect their young.

Roamers-random-movement creatures like visceriods/floaters. their main job is to spread ground spores left by different types of flora.

Prey-keeps the flora/tiberium growth from spreading across the map. particularly the pesky weedtypes. fast breeding rate..

Predators-Keeps the prey/predators from over eating the flora or prey. they can hunt each other, they mainly have a preferred prey set. moderate-slow breeding depending on the amount of kills. some creatures can be omnivores in case prey numbers are endangered or desperate and hunt down the player.


-also tiberium life shouldn't immediately react aggressively towards the player..curiosity maybe..but aggression should be a natural response, if it was attacked, near its den, territorial, guarding its young. or if its hunting...

.....this kinda reminds me of JP:Genesis...watch out for fiend poo...

Seems like Tiberium mutations/lifeforms are becoming very much a combination of:

Tiberium/Mutants/Flood(From Halo)/Zerg(StarCraft)/Other Wierd Crap/Exotic Plantlife/Jellyfishs *in the case of the floater*/ETC

LOL :) Some interesting ideas guys keep em coming ;)

I love the idea of Predators... I was thinking we need some Infighting on the Lifeforms.. because we dont want their numbers getting too insanly out of control. So there should be Carnivores in the environment that eat each other and lower lifeforms as well to keep things under control.

Dont like so much a SandWorm idea but how about a Vein Worm or something... some early version of the Vein Hole monster which is a worm form perhaps... or something spawned by the Vein Hole Monster much later perhaps.

I like the Vein worm idea, nice to see something unpopular being tossed around. ^_^ sets the stage for the Veinhole's lifecycle. Where its a worm and grows morphs into the veinhole and spreads blossoms. and if it gets killed little worms eat and grow and move around the map till they get big enough to start the cycle again.

Well I read these articles.... might inspire some different lifeforms.

for flora, succulents and coral...not to mention fungi. but also these weird but cool primordial trees called Baobabs.
