A few weeks ago Scorpio9A told us all of a patch being worked on in secret at EA, and when Lion of CNCDen asked, EA simply said "Can't say, good rumor though". But now the rumor is confirmed. A news Item on the front page of official EA Generals Website is as follows:

"Patch Coming: February 28th
We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of patch 1.03 for Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour on February 28, 2005. On this day we will support the community with an expansive patch which will dynamically change the balance of the game, as well as fix numerous technical errors and cheats being experienced in previous months. For full details on the changes and improvements being implemented by patch 1.03, please visit back here on February 28th when we officially release it. Reinforcements have arrived! If you would like to be among the first to hear about the latest in the Command & Conquer universe in the coming months, please sign up for our newsletter for exclusive information, and stay tuned. "

So all praise Scorpio9A for being right as many of you doubted him :-p

This is great news by the way, I altogether stopped playing Zero hour because of its bugs and flaws, and aparently now that is all going to be fixed. I sure do hope EA fixes it good enough to get me back to playing it regularly.

The only downside I can see is that mods may want to upgrade to play off of this new patch, which means more work.

The patch is great news for the game will fix alot of things. Also good for Tiberian Sun Rising depending on what it changes etc, regardless have to test the mod with the new patch when it comes and update it to be compatible if any updating needed ;).

Woulden't it rock if they threw in some code based on mods that are currently out there? Like you look throught the code and "hey this looks like a stealth generator!" though we figured that out already.
