Hi guys, I noticed that you were reworking the Obelisk and thought I'd add my suggestion as to why it looks wrong.
If you look at the source material from the original C&C the spine of the Obelisk appears to be essentially straight and then only the laser emitting tip is pointing back on an angle (and one the would be less than 45 degrees), whereas on your obelisk the spine cuts back in too soon. The original obelisk has 3 section: a long bottom that angles in while keeping the spine straight, a short middle that is basically straight and a short tip that angles back in. Yours seems to have 4 section however: the bottom is more or less the same, but the middle only consists of one spot, and the you have the top bending back quite far with a further bit (the tip) bending a little further.
