By now if you have tried to export a model into Red Alert 3 you will have found out that the SDK did not ship with the 3DS Max shaders needed to do so. A shader is a bit of code that tells a program and your graphics card how to render the surface of an object.

Seeing as how EALA left out this very critical part of the RA3 Mod SDK, KatzSmile did some research and took it upon himself to make some shaders you can use for this task. Download here, Included are 4 shaders.

There was no problem with creating, the only problem is that the preview in max doesn't work. Also these new shaders only resemble some part of what the user gets in the game. The preview lacks all special things:
-no reflection (environment) texture and with that no env multiplier
-no normal texture and with that no bump scale
-no specular texture and with that no specular color recoloring and exponent
-no ambient color recoloring
-no diffuse color recoloring

You would get a better preview if you use the objects generic from tiberium wars and set it up properly. Then finish all texturing and set the shader to one other (or leave it objects generic if you don't need housecolor)

Uh, yes I am (also Ju-Jin at ppm, lauren was taken there), but are you sure with that famous stuff? ^^
