They shoulda used the better renders like that for all the Red Alert stuff in RA Retaliation it would of at least been more different from the PC version.
Actually I scanned this at 600 DPI so I scanned it at such high resolution you can see the pixels like that, the image is rather small in the Firestorm manual.
The shrunk version in the corner is the largest I could resize the image to without it pixelising. I left the fullsize pixelated image for those who wanted to look very closely .
Iv played Counterstrike though I dont think I ever finished every Counterstrike, Aftermath or Covert Ops missions cept for Ants and Dinos which I finished all of. I should go back and win all of those missions i guess, there fun and very challenging particulary Covert Ops.
Pre-release screenshots are any screenshots from Westwood, EA prior to release or even after, and screenshots from review/preview websites., and untrue Nverguds SOME of the TFD screenshots are just rebadged Pre-release screenshots while otherwise are from the final version and are new screenshots taken by EA *I suspect*. Post-Release screenshots are taken by us or other fans.
The point is pre-release shots are made for the Press so they are usually far better screenshots or faked or setup in someway to show off a particular feature.
Perhaps we may need to reorganise them into Pre-Release (Alpha, Beta screens), Promotional Screens (press), Post-Release (fan)

Sorry to disappoint you there, but this is really taken from the FMV to put in the magazine. This means that the original image from the FMV is still higher quality than this printed-and-then-scanned version
Actually, it's the other way around... the commander (=the player himself) is supposed to be in the mobile headquarters (hence the name).
If the commander is dead, he obviously loses, but to actually make the player lose the MP game, all of his stuff has to be gone, so that's why everything blows up.
The same thing happens in normal Capture The Flag games once you captured the enemy flag and returned to your base with it.
Actually, this was made as build icon for The First Tiberium War, so the render I was trying to imitate is the one used on the C&C95 build icon. But I must admit it looks slightly more like that strategy guide render.
