Xenkan has posted on the Derelict Studios forums that he created a patch for the C&C3 Tiberium Wars Demo that fixes some Windows 2000 incompatibilities.

For the people using Windows 2000, I've created a patch which fixes the Windows 2000 incompatibilities in the Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Demo. This patch should allow you to play the demo if you currently receive any of the following error messages:

- The procedure entry point GetVolumePathNamesForVolumeNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll
- ***FATAL*** String Manager failed to initialized properly
- The dynamic link library gdiplus.dll could not be found in the specified path
- The dynamic link library d3dx9_29.dll could not be found in the specified path

Enjoy!

This is an unofficial community patch so there's the usual warnings and disclaimers about it not being supported by EA, use at your own risk, blah blah, and whatnot.
