Picture Description
Construction Yard
The Construction Yard is vital to every base it allows you yo build all other structures without it you will be at a large disadvantage. Guard it as best you can Commander. This buildpic was never used in the final game it is offical it was never used because you can't build a Con Yard straight off you have to build a MCV.
Power Plant
The Power Plant must be built to allow for other building contructions it is also vital to power a base without power the base will run ineffieciently. Power Turbines can be connect to the Power Plant to provide addtional power.
Power Turbine
Unlike Nod GDI have developed Power Turbines which attack onto already built Power Plants to provide additional power and it doesn't take up any extra space ether unlike Nods disadvantage with there advanced power plant. Only 2 can be placed on each power plant because GDI powerplants come with 1 already attached.
Barracks
The Barracks is used to train all infantry types it is one of the first of many buildings you will build. It is also a prerequisite for basic defensive structures.
Tiberium Refinery
Once built the Refinery comes free with a Harvester which will automatically go out and mine Tiberium once the Harvester is full it will come back to the Refinery and dump its load in return you will get credits. The Refinery can store quite a bit of Tiberium but once full you must ether build more Refinery's or Silos otherwise you will lose credits for having no room left to store the Tiberium.
EMP Cannon
The Electromagnetic Pulse Cannon (EMP) can fire a powerful blast over a limited distance which will disable any mechanised units caught in the blast. Great for stopping Tank Rushs in there tracks or if you build a cannon close enough it is great to disable there base with.
Firestorm Generator
The Firestorm Generator is very advanced structure it has the ability to generate a force field which cannot be penertrated by anything except a Nod Chemical Missle which flys over the field the Generator will vaporise Multi Missles though. Which makes it a great defence it can take out any aircraft who trys to cross the field also. The field is generated where ever you place Firestorm Wall Sections which are required to generate the Field. The Firestorm Generator must charge before use due to the amount of power it uses. It can be turned off and on at will.
Firestorm Wall Section
The Firestorm Wall Section is where the Firestorm Generators force field is generated from the emitters on these special sections make the technology possible. You can use as many of these as you want and wherever you want them.
Tiberium Silo
Tiberium Silos are used to store Tiberium so you don't lose credits when your Refinerys are full make sure you build these. When full these become highly volitile so watch it.
War Factory
The War Factory allows you to build all vehicles its a must for all Commanders. It is also a vital building for when you have no Contruction Yard but you still have your War Factory, Tech Center and enough credits you can buy a new MCV to save yourself.
Radar
The Radar Installation allows Commanders to see the battefield and the locations of everything where they have explored all shown in a little radar screen. The Installation must remain powered for you to use the radar without enough power the radar will go offline.
Component Tower
The Component Tower is the base building for all of GDI's Defensive structures. Ether can be built as a single structure or part of a wall. The Component Tower is compateble with the Vulcan Cannon, RPG Launcher or the SAM Site.
SAM Site Upgrade
The Surface to Air Missle Site (SAM Site) is GDI's best defence against enemy aircraft. It can only be attached to the Component Tower.
Vulcan Cannon Upgrade
The Vulcan Cannon is excellent for mowing down infantry in seconds it has 2 mini-guns firing 50mm projectiles at high speeds. It is best to take down infantry and lightly armoured units with but in groups can be used to take down heavyly armoured units. It can only be attached to the Component Tower.
RPG Launcher Upgrade
The Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher (RPG Launcher) is designed to be primarly used against heavyly armoured units it is also quite effective against infantry and can be great for taking out those pesky Cyborgs in moments. Its explosive charge causes splash damage which will hurt any nearby units ether friendly or foe. It can only be attached to the Component Tower.
